He was not on the injury report after the matchup with Arkansas; however, reports surfaced on Miller Forristall being expected to miss several weeks.
On Wednesday, Nick Saban joined the Southeastern Conference Coaches teleconference to update some things – including Forristall.
Despite playing the entire game and catching two passes, Saban said the Alabama tight end suffered a hit to his throat. Forristall has recorded three touchdown receptions, but the redshirt junior has also dealt with his fair share of medical mishaps and this is the latest one.

“He got hit in the throat in the game, said he was OK,” Saban said.
“Doctors looked at him, and he went back into the game. … We further examined him, and he does have an injury to his voice box that required surgery and will keep him out for 6 weeks or so.”
With this being said, the native Georgian will miss the remainder of the regular season.
He does have a chance to return for the College Football Playoff, but now the Crimson Tide looks at Major Tennison to step up. The trio of Cameron Latu, Giles Amos and Jahlel Billingsley are behind him, but Tennison’s getting the first look.
Also, keep your eyes on Chris Owens.
He has been switching between Nos. 79 and 84, as the Tide is using him as an extra blocker in certain situations.
