It has been an entertaining off week thus far for Alabama, as Tua Tagovailoa returns to practice today and players at Louisiana State University are already trash talking for Nov. 9.
Nick Saban told reporters in the Southeastern Conference Coaches teleconference that Tagovailoa will be a ‘game-time decision’ for the matchup with the Tigers; however, sources confirmed with yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine that it would be ‘shocking’ if the junior quarterback is not close to 100 percent by next week.
Mac Jones, a redshirt sophomore, started against Arkansas and recorded 235 passing yards with three touchdowns in a victory.

On Monday, Saban told media pundits that Tagovailoa has progressed well and he’s ahead of schedule in his rehab. While he does not have a crystal ball prediction, people will be waiting with bated breath to see photos and video clips of the native Hawaiian in action at practice.
In the first airing of In My Own Words for this week, yours truly discussed the former five-star being ahead of schedule and how Jones held down the fort versus the Razorbacks.

With the trash talk being high at LSU, the meeting between Alabama and the Tigers will be part two of the “Game of Century.” After wide receiver, Justin Jefferson started with we ‘coming for Alabama’s head,’ former Tigers’ standout– Leonard Fournette – jumped into the conversation.
LSU has not defeated the Tide in its last eight tries, but people feel this team is different.
Defensively, Alabama is starting to play its best football. It’s forcing turnovers, sacking quarterbacks, stopping the run and getting off the field on third down. The Tide recorded touchdowns on defense in back-to-back weeks, as Trevon Diggs had a fumble return and an interception returned for a score. Despite shade being thrown at Pete Golding, he is coaching a group that’s surrendered 15.3 points per game – which classifies as a shutout in today’s game.
The second segment from the show dives into Alabama’s defense.
