Whether he was trying to compliment Tua Tagovailoa or take a big shot at Texas, a College and Pro Football Hall of Famer has recognized the Alabama football quarterback.
Earl Campbell is a legend in the state of Texas.

Vince Young guided the program to a BCS National Championship in 2005; however, the Longhorns have not won a title since then or been to the College Football Playoff.
Despite having some decent quarterbacks – including Colt McCoy – Campbell has the reason on how to fix Texas football.
“You got to have a talented, black quarterback,” Campbell said to TMZ Sports on Wednesday.
“When guys are not open, something still can happen. Until the University of Texas realizes – and nothing against Ehlinger, you got to have a talented, black quarterback.”
Sam Ehlinger has the ‘Horns at 5-3 this year and he led the program to 10 wins last season for the first time since 2009.
When it comes to successful black signal callers and winning championships, Campbell cited Young, Jalen Hurts, Deshaun Watson, J.T. Barrett and Tua Tagovailoa to support his claim. Tagovailoa is actually Samoan (Polynesian), nevertheless, it’s interesting that Campbell went with him in his statement. As the Longhorns attempt to make a quality bowl game, the Crimson Tide’s trigger man has national championship on his mind.
Campbell may have been wrong in some of his logic, but at least he knows how to pick out a championship quarterback.
