Jalen Hurts makes history becoming first QB to start for multiple CFP teams

He posted a video to Twitter with the caption: “I Got That Feelin’” and everyone knows the feeling he is referring to.

His road was not easy, but Jalen Hurts has exuded grace, competitiveness and a non-stop determination along the way.

After three consecutive appearances in the College Football Playoff at Alabama, Hurts made history on last week – becoming the first quarterback to start for multiple CFP schools.

He delivered the University of Oklahoma to a Big 12 Championship and has an opportunity to capture his first national title as a starter.

While he and Joe Burrow of LSU will be toe-to-toe for the Heisman Memorial Trophy, Hurts’ narrative presents a strong case for him to win. Should he be rewarded, the native Texan would be third consecutive Heisman winner for Lincoln Riley.

He was an important piece of the Crimson Tide’s 2017 national championship and rescued the program to a Southeastern Conference title last season.

For Alabama fans that have a soft spot for Hurts, he will be cheered on to win a national title.

He guides an offense that averages 43.2 points per game and has recorded his first career 3,000-yard passing season (3,634) with 32 touchdown passes to seven interceptions.

Hurts also leads the Sooners in rushing with 1,255 yards and 18 scores on 219 carries.

He will enter this year’s CFP as the most experienced quarterback.
