Former Alabama CB Marlon Humphrey still has some thoughts on LSU

Even one month removed from Alabama’s initial loss of the season to LSU and supporters of the Crimson Tide are still frustrated over the result. In a game that could have swung Alabama’s way if not for a few self-inflicted wounds was the beginning of a season of relative disappointment by Nick Saban era standards.

With the misfortunes suffered during Alabama’s 46-41 loss to the Tigers, there are still some who believe that LSU is still not the superior team despite the rankings.

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey is one of those people.

Following LSU quarterback Joe Burrow winning the Heisman Trophy, and the team headed into the playoffs as the number one team in the country, it still is not enough to convince Humphrey.

Humphrey, who played under Saban at Alabama from 2014-16, is currently having his best season in the NFL. Helping lead the Ravens to a 12-2 record, Humphrey has emerged as one of the elite cornerbacks in the league.

On the season the Hoover, Alabama native is second on the team in tackles with 58, ninth in the entire NFL in pass deflections with 13 and also has two interceptions, three fumble recoveries and two defensive touchdowns.
