Some thought it was just a cute slogan, but Nick Saban was serious about the “Alabama factor” needing to be restored throughout the football program. After not winning a national championship in 2018 and not making the College Football Playoff this season, he returned to doing the one thing that made the Crimson Tide great: signing more in-state talent.
Of the 20 student-athletes that chose to sign during the Early Signing Period, nine hail from the state of Alabama.
All of them are hungry and per four-star running back, Roydell Williams, he wants to make sure the Crimson Tide will ‘never be left out of the playoff again’. Alabama found its quarterback of the future in Bryce Young and addressed a few needs on defense. When he spoke to the media on Wednesday, Saban referred to this class as one with ‘character’ and ‘maturity.’
