With the names Alabama signed in its 2020 class and the possibility of Najee Harris coming back for his senior year, a decision has been made by Jerome Ford.
On Wednesday, the reserve running back for the Crimson Tide decide to place his name into the NCAA transfer portal. A former three-star from Seffner Fla., Ford was the lone back signed in Alabama’s 2018 recruiting class.
The 5-foot-11, 212-pounder saw action in four games as a freshman (before redshirting) and collected three rushing touchdowns last season.

While he has much potential, there are not a lot of opportunities for him with the Tide and he could be a major contributor elsewhere. Ford does have an Southeastern Conference Championship ring and some experience on the field.
He’s totaled 151 yards rushing with three scores on 31 carries in two years.
