Pair of Alabama commits set to sign with the Tide

Two of the Tide’s verbal commits have expressed to Touchdown Alabama, that they do plan to sign with the Tide Wednesday and make things official.

4-Star recruits, Jamil Burroughs and Javon Baker are expected to stay true to their commitments to Alabama and will sign their National Letter of Intent to the university.

Burroughs’ recruitment has been shut down for some time now as he has not been in contact with any other coaches over the last couple of months. A couple of schools reached out to Javon Baker and attempted to make a late push, including the Arkansas Razorbacks, who visited him at home and hosted him for an official visit this past weekend.

The Tide got a commitment from Burroughs in October. He said it was the Tide’s family atmosphere, that led him to make that decision.

On the other hand, Baker is one of Alabama’s longest-standing commits as he committed to the Tide in November of 2018.

These two are not the only Alabama commits, who look like they are sticking with Alabama. The Tide’s other commits, Damieon George and Jayson Elijah Jones, will also sign with the school of their choice Wednesday.

McEachern High School will host a signing ceremony for Javon Baker, Jamil Burroughs and their other athletes in their athletic office around 8 a.m. EST.
