Daquayvious Sorey is one of the hottest wide receivers in the 2023 class as offers continue to pour in for him.
The University of Tennessee was the first school to offer Sorey and several SEC programs have followed suit. Georgia, Kentucky, Arkansas, Auburn and Texas A&M have all offered the rising sophomore. Alabama joined the club in February after Sorey visited for the Tide’s first Junior Day event.

Alabama’s head coach, Nick Saban, told Sorey about his offer.
“I sat down with coach Saban and he was telling me to keep my grades up and how important school is,” Sorey said. “Then he said you can tell everyone I offered because we are recruiting you hard.”
Alabama has not offered many recruits in the 2023 class. The fact, that several SEC programs have offered Sorey this early in his recruitment shows his talent level is among the best in the nation.
Sorey said Alabama’s offers was one he had been dreaming about.
“I was excited when Saban told me,” Sorey said. “I have been dreaming about getting an offer from Alabama since I was a kid.”
The Graceville High School product stands at 6-1 and weighs 180 pounds. He is explosive space and can cover the ground quickly with his speed in the open field.
Daquayvious is not the only Sorey Alabama is recruiting ‘hard’. Daquayvious’ cousin and 2021 4-Star athlete, Xavian Sorey, is one of Alabama’s top linebacker targets. The possibility, that both of them could play together at the next level is one Daquayvious is excited about.
“It would be huge playing with him,” Sorey said. “The reason why I say that is because he’s taught me a lot of stuff and going to the next level with him it’s just another step for me to learn and to get better.”
Daquayvious Sorey’s offer list will continue to grow as he has a full three years of high school football ahead of him. It will be interesting to watch his recruitment unfold as major power 5 programs battle for his services.
