He was not invited to the Senior Bowl or NFL Combine, but neither that nor the coronavirus pandemic has stopped Matt Womack from preparing for the draft next month.
A native of Hernando, Miss., Womack came to the University of Alabama as a three-star offensive lineman in the 2015 signing class.
He watched the program win a national championship in his redshirt year and after playing nine games in 2016, he earned the starting job at right tackle in 2017.
With him being listed at 6-foot-7 and 325 pounds at the time, Womack cleared the way for the Crimson Tide to have 3,509 yards rushing and 36 scores.
He assisted Damien Harris to a 1,000-yard campaign (1,000) and helped both Jalen Hurts and Bo Scarbrough account for eight rushing touchdowns each. In pass protection, Womack allowed Hurts to throw for 2,081 yards and 17 scores to one interception. Upon Tua Tagovailoa – freshman then – entering games, Womack kept him upright for 636 yards with 11 scores.

During the 2018 College Football Playoff title matchup with Georgia, Womack kept Tagovailoa clean enough to toss three touchdowns.
The final one was a 41-yard, game-winner to DeVonta Smith in overtime – delivering the Tide to a 26-23 victory.
Despite a foot injury limiting him to 15 games combined in 2018 and 2019, Womack turned in great numbers at a Pro Day in Naples, Fla.
Womack has been working out at Total Athletic Performance or TAP. The training facility held its event on Friday and per Womack, he recorded a 40-time of 5.00 seconds, a 10-yard slit of 1.65 seconds and put in 26 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.
Ran our own pro day at @tap_naples today.
10 yard split: 1.65
40 yard dash: 5.03
Bench: 26 reps @225lbs
More numbers to come plus videos of it all. Quarantine won’t stop the grind. @NFL @NFLDraft @capsportsadv— Matt Womack (@MattWomack2015) March 20, 2020
Correction. My 40 yard dash was a 5.00!

Judging by what was seen at the Combine, his performance stacks up with some of the top prospects in the class.
He would have had the fourth-fastest 40-time and finished in the top-15 among his position group on the bench.
Now at 322 pounds, Womack has himself in prime position to make an NFL roster.
