With each passing day, the hope for college football fans is their favorite season will return this fall. Regardless of not having spring practice, Nick Saban and the Alabama coaching staff expects to have the players as prepared as possible to compete for a national title.

On last week, Saban told reporters that the Crimson Tide will get its leadership from the one who want to play winning football.

From the discussion, one can anticipate seeing multiple freshmen inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama has never been afraid of featuring young athletes.

Names that come to mind as freshmen impact players include Rolando McClain, Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Da’Ron Payne, Jalen Hurts, Amari Cooper and Tua Tagovailoa among others.

The difference with these individuals is each one had a chance to showcase their skills in the spring.

Should we have a situation where the Tide doesn’t receive an adequate amount of practices before the season, there could be a circumstance where the only freshmen that play are those in specified roles. On Monday, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine was on In My Own Words introducing the conversation on the 2020 class.
