Riley Quick, a 2022 prospect, is picking up steam on the recruiting trail and it is a good chance Alabama will be involved in his recruitment in the near future.
Quick is a product of Hewitt-Trussville High School and is the younger brother of Alabama offensive lineman, Pierce Quick. Tenessee and Missouri are the latest programs to offer Riley as his offers total now stands at six. The Trussville product said he feels his success on the recruiting trail is a product of the work he has put in.
“It really means a lot, I have been working really hard,” Riley said. “Even through this coronavirus stuff, I have been working out a lot. It really makes me excited.”
Not only is Riley making a name for himself on the football field, he is also making plays on the diamond as he is regarded as one of the top 2022 baseball prospects in the nation. The possibility of playing both football and baseball at the next level is something he is seriously considering. The 4-Star recruit has already been in contact with multiple SEC baseball coaches.
“It definitely is a possibility,” Quick said. “When Missouri offered me, I talked to their baseball coach the same day. I have talked to Alabama about both sports. I talked to their head coach a lot and Auburn’s head coach as well.”
Riley grew up watching a lot of Alabama football and the possibility of playing with his older brother at the next level makes Alabama an intriguing program for Riley. Similar to Pierce, Riley is projected to play on the offensive line at the next level. Riley said he feels he has learned a lot from Pierce.
“I have really learned a lot from him,” Riley added. “He teaches me a lot. He has always taught me to play hard, play at my very best all the time, never take it easy when I am on the field. ”
At 6-5 and 245 pounds, Riley spent most of his sophomore season at the tackle position for the Huskies. He proved he could hold his own as he played with a chip on his shoulder in the trenches.
Alabama has offered multiple 2022 prospects so far. Riley Quick could be added to that list in the future.
