With the first truly shocking pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts.
The pick is all the more peculiar due to the fact that the Eagles already have quarterback Carson Wentz who does have a history of injury.
But odd quarterback situations is something that Hurts is used to based off of his three seasons with the Crimson Tide which ended with him backing up Tua Tagovailoa.
Hurts’ superb character and willingness to trust the system are tools that will take him a long way in the NFL just like it did during his college career.
In his four years with Alabama and Oklahoma Hurts threw for a total of 9,477 yards, 80 passing touchdowns and completed 65 percent of his passes. He also rushed for 3,274 yards, and 43 touchdowns.
