A native Texan is heading to the west coast.
He was not selected through seven rounds of the NFL Draft; however, Jared Mayden has decided to sign with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent.
News came from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network as the draft concluded on Saturday.

The former University of Alabama safety led the team with four interceptions in 2019 and totaled 59 tackles with three pass breakups. He had a strong performance at the Reese’s Senior Bowl, showcasing his versatility to play cornerback, nickel back (slot corner) and safety.

Mayden was on two Southeastern Conference title teams and a College Football Playoff National Championship team in 2017.
