2021 4-Star wide receiver, Jacorey Brooks, is set to announce his commitment at 3 p.m. CST Friday.
Brooks is a product of Booker T. Washington High School in Miami, Florida. The Tide were included in a top seven Brooks’ released in December and was also able to host him for an unofficial visit in October.
The Florida natives’ recruitment has been on the quieter side as he has not done many interviews about his recruitment. Outside of a top seven he released in December, no other recruiting moves had been announced by him until Thursday. It is no secret the Tide is after wide receivers in the 2021 recruiting cycle as this group looks to be a priority for Nick Saban and his staff.
There are plenty of reasons to believe Alabama is a major player in Brooks’ recruitment. It is hard to overlook the success Alabama has had in the sunshine state, especially at the wide receiver position. The Crimson Tide still looks to have a nice hold on pulling in Florida wide receivers as its only wide receiver commit at the moment is Florida product and 5-star wide receiver, Agiye Hall.

Then there is the major success Alabama had during the 2020 NFL Draft at the wide receiver position as former Alabama wideouts, Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy, were both selected in the first round, which gave the Tide some major recruiting ammo. Most wide receiver prospects are also looking at Alabama’s quarterback room, which looks to have a nice future with Bryce Young waiting in the wings.
At 6-3 and 185 pounds, Brooks has a long and strong frame, which allows him to be aggressive and go after the football. His speed is not considered elite but could improve once he gets to the next level.
