On Thursday night ESPN decided to re air a game which cemented one of the most storied rivalries in recent history.
The 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship was truly a game to be remembered for its back and forth matchup between Alabama and Clemson.
It was the game which ascended Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson to all-time great status as he helped capture Dabo Sweeney his first championship, and serve Nick Saban his first loss in a title game at Alabama.
Although four years have past since then, the hurt from the heartbreaking last second loss for the Crimson Tide still stings for its players.
Crazy you think about the natty you never won rather the ones you actually won. That 2016 bama team was special

Entering the game Alabama’s defense was amongst the best in the history of college football as it put up eye popping performances week in and week out.
The unit also earned the respect of Watson who went to battle against them two years in a row.
Definitely was the best!! https://t.co/SeYJrpPWxw

But sometimes the football gods have something different in mind.
