Alabama finished last season with 10 wins and a victory over Michigan in the Citrus Bowl; however, Crimson Tide fans were not happy with the defense. Regardless of its top-20 ranking nationally in total and scoring defense, it was not the dominance people were accustomed to.
Of the players looking to take the next step, Christian Barmore and Shane Lee are poised to assure a repeat of 2019 does not happen.
On Monday, former Tide receiver Mac Hereford was featured on In My Own Words with yours truly to break down Barmore and Lee.

While he sees Barmore as ‘a killer’ on the field, Hereford said Lee actually has the speed to operate at inside linebacker.
According to the two-time Southeastern Conference champion and national champion in 2017, the lone thing Lee needs to improve is the agility in his hips.
Both players are ready to restore the fear back into the heart of opponents.
