A look at Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class in its entirety

The summer enrollees for Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class are set to move in Monday.

The Crimson Tide enrolled 13 players in December and their other 12 signees are now joining the team. Here is a look at the Tide’s 2020 recruiting class in its entirety:

Bryce Young – 5-Star – QB

Young is a product of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. He enrolled into the University of Alabama in December as an early enrollee. The California product passed for 4,528 yards and 58 touchdowns as a senior. Young’s ability to extend plays and his athleticism has fans excited to see him in action. It remains to be seen if he will push Mac Jones for the starting quarterback position as a freshman.

BREAKING: 5-Star QB, Bryce Young, commits to Alabama

Drew Sanders – 5-Star – ATH

Sanders is a product of Ryan High School in Denton, Texas. The Tide is expected to use this early enrollee at the outside linebacker position, but the door is open for him to try out a different position if needed. At 6-5 and 225 pounds, Ryan High School used the jumbo athlete as a wide receiver, tight end, a wildcat quarterback and as a linebacker.

5-Star ATH “Drew Sanders is processed, good fit for Alabama” ~ Mitch Sanders

Chris Braswell – 5-Star – OLB

Braswell continues the streak of Alabama signing players from St. Frances Academy. As a panther, the 5-Star recruit was used in a similar way to how the Tide will use him as an edge rusher. The Maryland product has long arms and a nice jump off the line. With Anfernee Jennings and Terrell Lewis moving on to the NFL, there is room for a freshman to work his way into the rotation for Alabama at outside linebacker. He enrolled in December.

Quandarrius Robinson – 5-Star – OLB

Robinson is one of the Tide’s highest-ranking summer enrollees. The Birmingham product comes in at 6-4 and 217 pounds. Alabama is also expected to use him as an edge rusher. Jackson-Olin used him there as a senior and his speed off the edge proved to be a problem for opponents.

RECRUITING TAPE: Alabama 5-Star OLB commit, Quandarrius Robinson

William Anderson – 5-Star – DE

Anderson has many Alabama fans excited and deservedly so. The Georgia product is a hard-nosed player, who can play sideline to sideline. His jump off the line is amazing and he knows how to go after the football.  Anderson joins the other impressive edge rushers the Tide signed in the 2020 recruiting class as an early enrollee.

Demouy Kennedy – 4-Star – LB

Kennedy will join Alabama’s crowded inside linebacker room. The Theodore product was one of the more athletic linebackers in the 2020 recruiting class. His closing speed is what really separates him from most. Kennedy was one of the Tide’s early enrollees.

Timothy Smith – 4-Star – DT

Smith has the potential to be a great defensive tackle for several reasons. At 6-4 and 340 pounds, he can completely run through blocks. The Florida product really carries his size well. He is also an aggressive tackler, who likes to lower the boom with great force. He is a summer enrollee.

Roydell Williams – 4-Star – RB

Williams is a back, who can do it all. He can catch the ball in open space and do some damage, grind out runs in between the tackle and be a weapon in the special teams’ game. At 5-10 and 200 pounds, he can create a lower center of gravity, which makes it hard for defenders to tackle him. He enrolled in December.

Bama RB commit, Roydell Williams, rushes for 3 TDs

Jackson Bratton – 4-Star – LB

Bratton will join Demouy Kennedy as an inside linebacker for Alabama. The Muscle Shoals product is a lengthy and aggressive player, who does not let anyone stop him from getting to the football. He is also not afraid to take on blocks. Alabama was able to get him on campus in December.

Alabama LB commit, Jackson Bratton, is a monster.

Kristian Story – 4-Star – ATH 

Story is an athlete in every sense of the word. He played wide receiver and defensive back as an eighth-grader for Lanett and eventually transformed into a quarterback. The Lanett product left his mark on high school football in the state of Alabama as he is the state’s high school career record holder in total touchdowns and total yards. Story is expected to begin his career as a safety for Alabama, but with Taulia Tagovailoa transferring, the Tide may think about letting him start off in the quarterback room.

Bama 4-Star ATH Commit, Kristian Story, can do it all

Javon Baker – 4-Star – WR

Baker is a combination of toughness and athleticism. His routes are tight and he is a technician at getting free. The Georgia product is also a fan of acrobatic catches and showing up, whoever lines up in front of him. Baker is one of the Tide’s summer enrollees.

Ronald Williams – 4-Star – DB

Williams is an athletic cornerback, who may be called on to play early for Alabama. The Louisiana product has consistently been the best athlete on the field throughout his football career. Since he is a JUCO product, do not be surprised if this early enrollee sees early playing time. His athleticism allows him to compete for balls in the air and go stride to stride with wideouts.

Jase McClellan – 4-Star – RB

McClellan is a patient runner with an effective stiff arm. His vision is what makes him special as he waits for his blocks to develop so he can explode through the hole. The Texas product also brings toughness to the table. Alabama got him on campus in December.

Thaiu Jones-Bell – 4-Star – WR

Jones-Bell will be one of the shorter wide receivers on Alabama’s roster. His strengths are his ability to get open and make moves in the open field. The Florida product’s thick frame allows him to break arm tackles. The Tide got Jones-Bell on campus in December.

Brian Branch – 4-Star – DB

Branch ‘aka’ Mr. One handed catches himself is a highlight reel waiting to happen. The Georgia product is exciting to watch as he uses his athleticism to make big plays as a defensive back, a wide receiver and as a safety.  If Branch is not able to get on the field as a safety early in his career, look for him to make an impact as a special teams’ player. He is a summer enrollee.

Malachi Moore- 4-Star – DB

Moore made a huge jump as a senior for Hewitt-Trussville High School as he transition to the safety position and showed his willingness to help in run support. He finished the season with more than 100 tackles and two pick-sixes. He is a summer enrollee.

Jah-Marien Latham – 4-Star DT

Latham may be the most athletic defensive lineman Alabama signed this cycle. A two-sport athlete during his time at Pickens County High School, the 4-star prospect plays with an edge. He can play across the defensive line and knows how to use his hands to fight off offensive lineman. The Reform product is a Summer enrollee.

Jamil Burroughs – 4-Star – DT

Burroughs is bringing his wide repertoire of hand moves to Tuscaloosa. He will most likely make a name for himself as an interior defensive lineman. He has a quick jump off the line and knows how to make himself skinny when he is rushing the passer. Burroughs is one of Alabama’s summer enrollees.

Kyle Edwards – 4-Star – RB

Edwards is undoubtedly the most powerful back Alabama signed during the 2020 cycle, but do not let his speed fool you. He does have enough speed to break away in the open field, but his toughness is one of his biggest strengths. He is enrolling this summer.

Traeshon Holden – 4-Star – WR

Holden comes in at 6-4 and is one of the tallest wide receivers on Alabama’s roster. His height gives him an advantage against smaller defensive backs. His ability to make plays after the catch is underrated as he showed he had some good speed as a senior for Narbonne High School. Alabama got him on campus in December.

Jahquez Robinson – 4-Star – DB

Robinson has added some weight since enrolling in December, which should help with his development.  Robinson’s lengthy frame and his ability to go step to step with wide receivers have Alabama’s coaching staff excited.

Caden Clark – 4-Star – TE

Clark is a hybrid tight end, who is comfortable lining up close to the line of scrimmage and blocking as well as lining out wide. At 6-4 and 245 pounds, he has the size to develop into a red zone threat. He is a summer enrollee.

Javion Cohen – 4-Star – OL

Cohen is a tackle, who embraces competition and keeping his quarterback upright. He did not give up a single sack during his senior season at Central Phenix City High School. The Red Devils often moved him around to fit their scheme. The 4-Star offensive lineman is one of the Tide’s summer enrollees.

Alabama 4-Star OL commit, Javion Cohen, talks Alabama commitment and more

Dameion George – 4-Star – OL

George is a massive offensive lineman at 6-6 and 385 pounds. He is a bit raw but shows plenty of potential. His strength and his mobility show that he can develop into a good offensive tackle during his time at Alabama.

Seth McLaughlin – 3-Star – OL 

McLaughlin is a versatile offensive lineman, who can play center or guard. The Georgia product enrolled into the University of Alabama in December. He knows how to remain low and keep his feet under him.
