Before surviving a scary incident that featured a trailer and a truck, Henry Ruggs III had one of the most special moments of his life last month.
After being selected at No. 12 overall in the NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders on April 23, the former University of Alabama wide receiver welcomed a baby girl into his family on May 7.
Kenzli Re’Nai Ruggs entered the world five weeks before her due date and according to Ruggs, he is excited to be a “Girl Dad.”
He posted a photo of his daughter to his Instagram, as the Montgomery (Ala.) has added motivation to be successful in the National Football League. Ruggs arrived as a five-star in the Crimson Tide’s star-studded 2017 class and recorded 24 touchdown receptions in his career.
He helped Alabama secure a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2017 and a Southeastern Conference title in 2018.
The 5-foot-11, 188-pounder clocked a time of 4.27 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, which was the fastest time among receivers and tied for the sixth-fastest time in Combine history.
