After announcing his intentions to transfer last week, former Alabama wide receiver Tyrell Shavers committed to play at Mississippi State on Monday.
“Thank you to you the University of Alabama for giving me a chance to become a better man,” read Shavers statement on Twitter last Tuesday. “I’ve learned many things here that I will carry the rest of my life. Too all my brothers, I love y’all boys and imma miss y’all boy. All y’all forever good with me. I will be using my last 2 years of eligibility elsewhere. Forever Grateful.”
Today he shared a new hype video announcing his decision.

As a redshirt sophomore, Shavers appeared in all 13 games with the Crimson Tide, mainly in a special teams role. In 2019 he recorded a single catch for 20 yards, one rush for 14 yards as well as a recovered punt block for a touchdown.
Shavers has already graduated and will have two more years of eligibility remaining.
