After two years of not winning a national championship and having a defense that did not meet the program’s standard, fans of Alabama football are wondering on will it be able to trust the defensive side of the ball this season.
Pete Golding enters his second year as the primary defensive coordinator and after injuries hampered the Tide in 2019, it returns much leadership and talent. With student-athletes such as Dylan Moses, Christian Barmore, LaBryan Ray, Joshua McMillon, DJ Dale, Christian Harris, Patrick Surtain II, Josh Jobe, Daniel Wright and Jordan Battle among others, Tide fans have more than enough reasons to be excited.

Despite losing two of its best players to the NFL Draft – Xavier McKinney and Anfernee Jennings – the bulk of its defensive standouts are back and they’re ready to push Alabama back to the College Football Playoff.
