2023 defensive tackle, John Walker, is easily one of the most impressive young players in the entire country.
Walker holds more than 25 Division 1 offers, including offers from a couple of SEC powers. Alabama joined in on Walker’s recruitment when they extended an offer to him on the first day of February. The Tide has host Walker in the past.
The Kissimmee, Florida product said Alabama’s staff makes you feel like family the moment you arrive.
“When I went there, it was a great experience,” Walker said. “They have a great coaching staff. As soon as you walk in, they treat you like it is your house. They try to make you comfortable to get you to commit over there. They have a nice stadium and locker room. Their training rooms were really nice.”
Walker also got a chance to hear from Nick Saban during his most recent visit to Tuscaloosa.
“When we went there, he came in and talked to us about a lot of good things about Alabama and going there,” Walker said.” “He talked about how it would be great to go there, go to college and get your degree.”
Touchdown Alabama’s staff saw Walker in action at the Under Armor Elite Underclassmen Camp in Jacksonville, Florida Saturday. His mobility really stood out as he showed great form when he ran the 40-yard dash and competed throughout the day. The rising sophomore said the competition at the event really pushed him to be great.

As a freshman, Walker showed his quick jump off the line for Osceola High School. His willingness to take on blocks and fight off offensive linemen also really stood out.
