Once you’re a part of the Crimson Tide, you ride the current forever.
That is the sort of thoughtful mindset Alabama head coach Nick Saban boasts with both current and former members of his teams.
It doesn’t matter if you played under him one year ago or seven, Saban will still find time to reach out to his players.
He did just that on Thursday, when former Alabama defensive back John Fulton shared in a post to his Twitter page of how grateful he was that Saban reached out to check in on him and his family, seven years after graduating from the university.
“Haven’t touched a football in 7 years and Saban still reaches out,” read Fulton’s post, “checks on my parents and is one HELL of a job reference lol.”
Fulton, who was a four star recruit out of Manning, SC, played under Saban from 2010-13 where he was a part of two national championship teams.
In his four years with the team he recorded 44 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks and nine pass deflections.
