Six student-athletes from the University of Alabama football program were named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation Preseason All-America Team, but Sporting News highlighted seven Crimson Tide players this week – including a trio of first-team selections.
The group of Alex Leatherwood, DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle all made first team.
After having success last year, all three players are looking to produce even better numbers in this campaign as the Tide anticipates getting back to the College Football Playoff. It had four individuals recognized as second-team honorees.

For the likes of Najee Harris, Deonte Brown, Patrick Surtain II and Dylan Moses, this fall is an opportunity to prove they are the best at their respective positions.
