4-Star OL, Malik Agbo, left ‘speechless’ after Alabama offer

Alabama’s coaching staff ventured onto the West Coast to extend their latest offensive line offer to 2022 4-Star offensive lineman, Malik Agbo.

Agbo is a product Todd Beamer High School in Federal Way, Washington. Alabama is the 13th Division 1 program to offer the Washingon product. They join fellow SEC schools, LSU and Tennessee, along with the home-state program, Washington. A mutual relationship with Alabama’s offensive coordinator, Steve Sarkisian, and Agbo’s head coach is how he got in contact with the Tide.

The 4-Star recruit said he was at a loss for words when he found out he had an offer from Alabama.

“I was shocked when I found out,” Agbo said. “I was speechless because it is Alabama. Everyone knows, who that is. You do not even have to know about football to know about Alabama. They are just a great school overall. They do what they are supposed to, they are disciplined and the way they coach over there is like no other.”

The University of Alabama now has a good number of its former players scattered around the National Football League, which is one of the things Agbo really respects about Nick Saban and Alabama football.

”Nick Saban knows what he is doing,” Agbo said. “He sends guys to the next level and that is something, that I really like. They stay there too. They are not just some one-hit wonders and leave. They stay there and they are known. That says a lot about how their coach.”

At 6-5 and 295 pounds, Agbo was used as an offensive tackle by Todd Beamer as a sophomore. He also spent some time on the defensive side of the football at the defensive end position. The rising junior is also a multi-sport athlete as he laces his shoes up on the hardwood as well.
