VIDEO: The legacy of Mac Jones at Alabama will hinge on three games in 2020

The championship quarterbacks at Alabama all had to prove themselves to fans, in terms of owning the big moment.

Whether it was Greg McElroy, AJ McCarron, Blake Sims, Jake Coker, Jalen Hurts or Tua Tagovailoa, all of them took pride in responding well with games on the line.

Supporters of the Crimson Tide will forever remember two things: quarterbacks that carried teams to championships and those that never got it done.

In these circumstances, players would much rather be remembered for the former.

For Mac Jones, the potential legacy of the redshirt junior will hinge on three games.

Alabama fans have the matchups against Georgia, LSU and Auburn all circled and though an undefeated regular season would be great, those three contests are “must-win” in the minds of fans.

Should he perform well in all three games, not only will major Heisman implications come from it but it will also set Jones up to push the Tide to a national title. On Monday, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine broke down all three games via In My Own Words and the importance of each one in Jones’s push to prove he can operate the team.
