Things are setting up for Dylan Moses to have an unforgettable season.
The former five-star prospect and Baton Rouge (La.) native gets an opportunity to relive his junior year, due to a serious knee injury sidelining him in 2019. Alabama’s coaching staff had the defense set up with him as its anchor; however, the mishap led to chaos and the program missing out on the College Football Playoff for the first time since its inception in 2014.
Now healthy and having much talent around him, Moses is prepared to navigate the Crimson Tide back on top.
Nick Saban hired two coaches he worked with at IMG Academy – David Ballou and Dr. Matt Rhea – and in convincing Joshua McMillon to return for a sixth year, Moses has his teammate who taught him the defensive system. So far, two national media outlets (Walter Camp, Sporting News) have Moses as a second-team honoree for its Preseason All-America Team for this year.
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, Moses has totaled 119 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass breakup, one quarterback pressure, one forced fumble and one interception through 26 career games.
He made the SEC’s All-Freshman Team in 2017 and was a finalist for the Dick Butkus Award as a sophomore in 2018. According to Cole Cubelic, an analyst for ESPN and SEC Network, he has Moses ranked as the No. 1 linebacker in the conference.

His speed, leadership, communication skills and attention to details are all strengths.

Every goal he has for himself and the team are in front of Moses. He wants to go out as a first-round draft pick, but more than that Moses desires to end his tenure with a national title.
