2021 5-Star defensive tackle, Damon Payne, tweeted he will announce his commitment decision July 26 Friday.

Payne is a product Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan. Alabama has been recruiting him since offering him in April of 2018 and has continued to be a serious contender in the race for the Michigan product. The Tide were included in a top 10 he released in February.
Alabama last hosted Payne in September.
At 6-3 and almost 300 pounds, Payne has one of the more impressive jumps off the line in the 2021 recruiting class. It almost looks as if he is in the backfield before the ball is even snapped on most plays.

Alabama’s 2021 recruiting class currently has one defensive tackle committed in 3-Star defensive tackle, Anquin Barnes. Only time will tell if Nick Saban and company can pull in this Michigan product.
