He had a strong freshman campaign, but he’s poised to be better this season.
Despite being forced into a starting role at weakside linebacker, Christian Harris excelled through 13 games – earning All-Freshman team honors from the Southeastern Conference and Freshman All-American honors from USA Today and ESPN.
A native of Baton Rouge, La., the four-star in the 2019 signing class totaled 63 tackles for Alabama – including 7.5 stops for loss.
Harris also recorded five quarterback hurries, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
While his output in tackles for loss led all freshmen defenders in the SEC, Harris’s overall performance helped the Crimson Tide remain in the top-20 of college football for scoring defense (18.6 ppg) and total defense (324.4 ypg).
The 6-foot-2, 244-pound has a feel for making plays in space with the football.
