WATCH: Can Bryce Young make a big enough leap to start at quarterback for Alabama?

After having Wednesday off, Alabama football returned to fall practice on Thursday.

Prior to the third camp session, both Devonta Smith (wide receiver) and Steve Sarkisian (offensive coordinator) had Zoom calls with local reporters on Tuesday and they had great things to say about Bryce Young. The true freshman quarterback has quickly picked up aspects in the offensive system and per Sarkisian, the Crimson Tide is seeing the ‘natural passer’ in Young.

He still has a lot of little things to improve upon, but how quickly can he rise?

For some Alabama fans, their money is on the five-star to start this season.

On Wednesday, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine discussed Young via In My Own Words and the impression he is making on the program thus far. According to Justin Smith, the lead scouting and recruiting analyst for TDA, Young has a diamond grade of one to pair with his five-star rating — meaning he projects to be an “immediate contributor and game changer.”
