A football prospect flipping his verbal commitment from one school to another is not uncommon and it is an inevitable part of every recruiting cycle.
Alabama has been the beneficiary of a couple of flips during this recruiting cycle with Jalen Milroe flipping his commitment to the Tide and Devonta Smith de-committing from the Buckeyes, and committing to Alabama days later. Nick Saban and Alabama has also been on the opposite side of a flip this cycle as Drake Maye flipped his commitment from the Crimson Tide to the North Carolina Tarheels.
