Ahead of Saturday’s big game, Touchdown Alabama’s partner WagerTalk broke down the betting side of the Crimson Tide’s matchup with the Texas A&M Aggies.
Experts Drew Martin, Ralph Michaels and Dave Cokin shared their thoughts on what fans should look out for in terms of betting.
Cokin shared that this may be a matchup for fans to stay away from noting that the Aggies offense provides a bit of mystery in terms of how good it is. Last game Jimbo Fisher’s team only put up 17 points against Vanderbilt but turned the ball over three times during the game halting a number of scoring opportunities.
Martin, on the other hand, stated that Alabama will actually be making his card this week in terms of a first-half bet. The combination of Texas A&M struggling with opt-outs offensively and Alabama’s first-half dominance makes for an intriguing situation.
In the first half Alabama averages, 21.9 points scored and allow just 8.8 points in the first half and if that number would hold the Crimson Tide would cover a first half bet.
