In his first professional action, Tagovailoa went 2/2 for nine yards on the final drive of the game.
Miami selected the former Alabama quarterback with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft making his eventual ascension into the starting role inevitable.
Tagovailoa will lead the offense into battle this Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
