Alabama will look to pick up win number five on the season when they take on the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville Saturday.
The Crimson Tide will attempt to keep their momentum going while the Vols will look to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Kentucky.
Touchdown Alabama’s staff predicts how this game will play out:
STEPHEN M. SMITH / SENIOR REPORTER
Alabama 34 – Tennessee 14
Key Insight: With the struggles Tennessee has had at quarterback, look for Alabama’s defensive front to build off its success versus Georgia. Also, the Crimson Tide expects to limit the attack of Eric Gray and Ty Chandler in the run game. Offensively, this is a game for Najee Harris. The Volunteers like to play with two safeties in coverage, which means an opportunity for big plays for Harris. Mac Jones and the receivers will get a connection going, but this is a big game for Harris and the offensive line.

JUSTIN SMITH / SCOUTING/RECRUITING ANALYST
Alabama 52 – Tennessee 21
Key Insight: “It remains to be seen if any team can stop Alabama’s explosive offense and I doubt the Volunteers will be able to do it. Alabama should be able to take control of this game early on the offensive side of the football. However, the defensive side of football are where multiple questions still remain. After a dominant second half against the Georgia Bulldogs, the Tide’s defense will look to carry that momentum into this matchup. As Alabama looks to tighten up its defense, I expect to see the Tide’s D take some steps forward in a couple of key areas. One of those areas may very well be pressure on the quarterback. Alabama was able to rattle Stetson Bennett on last week and will look to get some pressure on Tennessee’s quarterback as well.”
Season Record: 5-0

PATRICK DOWD / ALABAMA BEAT REPORTER
Alabama 49 – Tennessee 17
Key Insight: “Alabama has been firing on all cylinders on offense so far this year. With Mac Jones possibly going for his fourth straight 400 yard game, accompanied by the likes of DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle and Najee Harris , that group is far too productive for most teams to compete with. But Alabama’s defense will look to build upon its second half performance again Georgia last week. Especially since Tennessee has had issues at quarterback recently, it will not be able to score enough to keep up with the Crimson Tide.”
