One of the best offensive guards in college football is headed to the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Deonte Brown, a redshirt senior from Decatur, Ala., accepted an invitation on Friday to play in the venue. The exhibition is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. In the rite of passage matchup for college athletes pursuing the National Football League, Brown will look to show scouts why he is one of the best linemen in the class.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 350 pounds, he has played in 41 career games at the University of Alabama — including 19 starts.
Brown has experience at both guard spots; however, he is starting at left guard this year.
Through six games, he has allowed one quarterback pressure, three quarterback hurries and half a sack in 377 snaps. Brown has committed three penalties, but he has helped pace one of the most balanced attacks in college football. The Crimson Tide leads the Southeastern Conference in scoring offense (47.2 ppg) and total offense (555.2 ypg), while ranking in the top-five nationally in both areas.
With Brown up front, Mac Jones is in the thick of the Heisman race and Najee Harris is averaging 119 yards rushing per game.

He is a powerful run blocker that has improved in pass protection too. Yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine currently has Brown projected as a second-round pick for next April.
