In the midst of preparation for college football’s most heated rivalry lies a break in the form of Thanksgiving. A holiday based around reflection ushered in the seasonal question to Alabama head coach Nick Saban to share what he is thankful for this year.
Saban highlighted that family, relationships and helping those in need are a few things he is grateful to be able to have.
“I think that we all have to have a lot of gratitude for the things we have,” Saban said during his Monday Zoom conference. “Family, especially. Relationships. I think we spend a lot of time thinking about the things that we don’t have and the things that we want. But I’m especially thankful for family. I’m especially thankful for relationships. I’m especially thankful for the opportunities we’ve had through the years.
“And we’re especially thankful that we’re in the position that we can help others, and we want to continue to try to do that in the future. That’s really important to Terry and I both.”
The Saban family’s record of helping others has been well documented over the years whether it’s the work he and Miss Terry have done with the Nick’s Kids Foundation or aiding in tornado relief and rebuilds, the Saban’s have had a profound impact on others.
