Christian Harris, a sophomore, was the starting weakside “Will” linebacker last season.
He and the Alabama defense allowed 103 yards rushing and three touchdowns to Clyde Edwards-Helaire at Bryant-Denny Stadium in a 46-41 victory for the Tigers. Joe Burrow picked the Tide’s defensive secondary apart for 393 passing yards with three scores, and LSU recorded 559 yards of total offense.
Harris watched the premiere program in his home state celebrate on the field in Tuscaloosa (Ala.), and he does not want to lose again.
In the video, the CBS commentating team of Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson talked about Edwards-Helaire and Burrow. Harris was hitting the sled on the practice field, shuffling through bags, running laps, and keeping his mind focused on the task at hand.
On Saturday, he expects to even the score with the Tigers.
