Alabama football is set to take on the LSU Tigers in Tiger Stadium Saturday.
Touchdown Alabama’s staff predicts how this game will play out:
STEPHEN M. SMITH / SENIOR REPORTER
Alabama 60 – LSU 10
Key Insight: “Alabama will look to be balance in both the run and pass game. Nick Saban will look for Steve Sarkisian to keep the offense with its foot on the pedal. Watch for players like Jahleel Billingsley and Javon Baker to step up. Defensively, watch for the defensive line and outside linebackers to create pressure and force turnovers.”
JUSTIN SMITH / SCOUTING/RECRUITING ANALYST
Alabama 59 – LSU 13
Key Insight: “This game will be filled with emotion as Alabama football is in search of a win against LSU after falling to the Tigers last year. The Tigers have struggled against the pass this season and Alabama’s offense will look to exploit that, and keep their offense rolling. This is another great opportunity for the Crimson Tide’s defense to make a statement. TJ Finley is a freshman quarterback, who the Tide should be able to get rattled. I expect Alabama to dial up some blitz to get Finley off balanced early.”
PATRICK DOWD / ALABAMA BEAT REPORTER
Alabama 50 – LSU 6
Key Insight: “If anything has been made clear leading up to Alabama vs. LSU, it’s that last years’ loss was personal and the Crimson Tide is looking to make a statement. The Tigers have had major struggles on both sides of the football and Alabama hasn’t missed a beat from last season. This one won’t be anywhere near as close or as entertaining of a game as last year.”
