Alabama alums aren’t just littered across NFL rosters anymore.

They are now beginning to take over Hollywood, as former Crimson Tide quarterback Blake Sims made his acting debut in the new film “Safety” which debuted on Disney Plus.

Sims took to Instagram to show his gratitude for the opportunity he received from the major media company.

“First and foremost I would like to thank the Lord for life because without that none of this would be possible,” Sims wrote. “Secondly I would like to thank (Disney Plus) for this amazing opportunity to be in my very first movie. This experience has been nothing short of amazing and I can’t wait to see what’s next. I hope all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed filming it. Stream “Safety” on Disney Plus.”

Safety tells the story of Ray McElrathbey who while playing football at Clemson faces numerous obstacles such as raising his 11-year old younger brother on campus while his mother is battling drug addiction.

Sims joins former Alabama defensive back Caleb Castille in the show business as Castille recently landed a series regular role on NCIS: Los Angeles.
