One of Alabama’s prospects from its 2019 signing class is headed to the Pac-12.

After spending one season with the Crimson Tide, Ishmael Sopsher entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal on Oct. 22.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound defensive lineman did not record a statistic this season and per his social media, the Louisiana native has announced his transfer destination. Once a four-star recruit, Sopsher has committed to the University of Southern California and will play for the Trojans.

He was on an Alabama roster that went 11-2, including a 35-16 win in the Citrus Bowl over Michigan, last season.

Sopsher is fifth player from the 2019 class to transfer — joining Antonio Alfano, Jeffery “Scooby” Carter (Mississippi Gulf Coast CC), Taulia Tagovailoa (Maryland) and Kevin Harris II (Georgia Tech).
