On Sunday, Jalen Hurts started in his first career NFL game at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.
In a matchup against the New Orleans Saints, he totaled 273 yards offensively (167 passing, 106 rushing) and became the second quarterback in NFL history (Lamar Jackson) to record 100-plus yards rushing in his first start. He completed 17 of 30 passes, including one for a touchdown.
He recorded 12 first downs for the Eagles and paced it 413 total yards in a 24-21 win over the Saints.
Hurts ended a four-game losing streak for Philadelphia, and had legends of the game very impressed with his outing.

Big shoutout to Jalen Hurts. He was tremendous for the Eagles today in his first start. Against a very good Saints D he was in total control. Big win for the Eagles.
