Alabama’s 5-Star defensive tackle commit, Damon Payne made it official with the Tide by signing his National Letter of Intent with Alabama football Wednesday.
Payne currently attends Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan. He is one of the five 5-Star recruits, who Alabama had a commitment from before National Signing Day. The Tide snagged a commitment from Payne in July.
The Alabama signee chose Alabama over Kentucky and others.
At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, Payne is one of the more explosive defensive tackles in the country. He times the snap with perfection and a quick burst helps him get into the backfield quickly. The Michigan product is one of those rare defensive tackles, who can play in space well.
