Kadarius Calloway signed his National Letter of Intent with Alabama football Wednesday.
Calloway is the Crimson Tide’s only signee from the state of Mississippi. He flipped his commitment from Mississippi State to Alabama in July. The Mississippi product said he wanted to be coach by Nick Saban at the next level.
“The main reason I committed to Alabama was that I wanted to get coach by Nick Saban,” Calloway said. “In my opinion, he is the best defensive coach ever.”
The Bulldogs continued to recruit Calloway despite him being committed to Alabama. Calloway told Touchdown Alabama he was locked in the Crimson Tide Saturday at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game.
“We still good,” Calloway said. “We are close. We are like family at this point. They are like big brothers to me and Nick Saban is like a dad. He keeps it 100.”
The Alabama signee is possibly the most underrated prospect in the Crimson Tide’s 2021 recruiting class. He is built like a running back at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds. Alabama plans to play Calloway at cornerback.
Philadelphia High School used Calloway on both sides of the football throughout his high school career. He possesses elite speed and is not afraid to be aggressive.
