The 2020 SEC Championship lived up to expectations and then some as the Alabama Crimson Tide escaped Mercedes-Benz Stadium with a thrilling 52-46 win over the Florida Gators.
With many twists and turns throughout the game, none more bizarre than the :26 second sequence filled with a bevy of emotional and momentum swings.

With 6:33 remaining in the first quarter, Mac Jones’ pass was intercepted by Florida’s Trey Dean III. After taking approximately 16 steps, Dean was decleated by Alabama’s John Metchie who came from Dean’s left side to separate the ball from Dean, which was recovered by the Tide’s DeVonta Smith.
Immediately after the quick change of possession, Jones found Smith wide open for the Tide’s second score of the game.
