In reaching the end of its season in the Southeastern Conference, the University of Alabama football program held its annual awards banquet on Sunday at the Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility.
After stating the goals for its College Football Playoff semifinal (Rose Bowl) matchup against Notre Dame for Jan. 1, 2021, Nick Saban then proceeded with handing out the awards.
The Crimson Tide was the lone team in the SEC to win all 10 of its games in conference play, as it seeks a national championship. Alabama named the quartet of Landon Dickerson, DeVonta Smith, Alex Leatherwood and Mac Jones all as permanent team captains.
These four will have their hand print and cleat print enshrined at Denny Chimes, which is the highest honor for a Tide student-athlete.
Smith earned the honor of being a team captain in 2019.
