He’s been the best receiver in all of college football this season, so it was no surprise that Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Year.
Smith has dominated defensive backs all season in the Crimson Tide’s 10 game SEC regular-season schedule.
In those games, Smith has caught 98 passes for 1,511 yards and 17 touchdowns which also helped Alabama capture the SEC Championship and a birth in the College Football Playoff.
Smith has also been named as a finalist for the Biletnikoff and Maxwell awards and is eyeing to become a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.
