His performance during the week of Senior Bowl practice has him positioned to go anywhere in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Mac Jones entered the week as possibly the fifth quarterback on the board. However, he will exit as the second or third-best option on draft boards. The former University of Alabama signal-caller met with the New England Patriots, Houston Texans, and New Orleans Saints in Mobile (Ala.), and all three teams need a quarterback. After guiding the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020, it will be interesting to see which franchise rolls the dice on Jones to be its guy.
On Friday, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine listed my top five NFL landing spots for Jones via In My Own Words.
As much as people want to see him in New England, I have the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts in my top five.
Eleven teams in this year’s draft have quarterback listed as a need.
