Ty Lockwood is continuing to pull in Power 5 offers with his latest offers coming from Texas A&M and Florida State.
The Independence High School product holds 10 D1 offers, including offers from Penn State, Tennessee and Ole Miss. With Alabama showing a heavy interest in adding big-body tight ends who can block and catch the football, Lockwood is a prospect to watch out for. The Thompson Station, Tennessee native currently stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 225 pounds.
As a sophomore, Lockwood was able to pull in contested catches in traffic and fight for extra yards. The 2023 tight end knows how to find open spots in a defense and sit in them. Lockwood said he feels his ability to get through his routes and progression is what he does best at the moment.
The Adidas Dream Team 7v7 organization is giving Lockwood the opportunity to continue to improve on his game on the 7v7 circuit this off-season.
“I can work on playing against both man and zone coverage,” Lockwood said. “I can find spots to get open in a short amount of time and I can get off of the man press. It helps me be versatile.”
