Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Florida, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU and Florida State were included in James’ top eight. James received an offer from Alabama in November during his impressive junior season. The Mobile, Alabama product said he was shocked when he first received an offer from Alabama.
“I was shocked to be honest,” James told Touchdown Alabama. “It is the University of Alabama, probably the greatest college team of all time.”
James went on to say he felt Nick Saban was one of the greatest coaches of all time.
At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, James is one of the most athletic linebackers in the 2022 recruiting class. He stars on both sides of the football for Faith Academy. Alabama’s coaching staff raved about his ability to create pressure and get after the quarterback upon offering him.

Alabama signed five prospects from the state of Alabama in the 2021 recruiting class. It has an opportunity to improve on that number in the 2022 recruiting cycle and James is an athletic prospect, who could help make that happen.
