The comparisons of Mac Jones to Tom Brady are growing.
When discussing the 2020 College Football Playoff National Champion, Brady is the closest thing that comes to mind.

NFL Draft experts see the New England Patriots taking Jones in the first round. In one season as the starting quarterback for Alabama, he tossed for 4,500 passing yards with 41 touchdowns.
He was an All-American, first-team All-SEC selection, a Heisman finalist, and the Davey O’Brien Award winner. Regardless of how big the stage was, Jones was at his best last year.
According to Tua Tagovailoa, the former Crimson Tide quarterback said Jones is more athletic than people think. Jones and Tagovailoa came in the same freshmen class in 2017, and he was Tagovailoa’s backup in 2019.
“He’s a sly kind of athletic person. He’s a more mobile Tom Brady.”@Tua joined @Eric_Edholm and offered up a scouting report on his former Alabama backup @MacJones_10.

“He’s a more mobile Tom Brady, Tagovailoa said to Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports on Jones. “He is very athletic, but he is also very smart too. He is a really great person. When I was playing at Alabama, a lot of the guys really loved being around his personality. Whatever team gets him, they are going to be very lucky.”
Jones’ preparation resembles Brady and Peyton Manning. His ability to scheme out defenses and dictate the pace of offense guided the Tide to its second perfect season of the Nick Saban era.
Jones became the first signal-caller in Alabama football history to account for 4,000 passing yards. He waited for his moment and took advantage when it came. It will be interesting to see if a team trades into the top-10 to get Jones, but few analysts see him falling outside the top-10. The Patriots missed the playoffs last season for the first time since 2008. Maybe, a more mobile version of Brady may be what Bill Belichick needs to get back o top.
